C.A.V.A., The Coalition of Allen Visual Artists is a non profit (currently applying for 501(c)3 status) member organization dedicated to promoting the visual arts, art appreciation and art education within the Allen Community. Our primary sponsor is Aurora Images Art Gallery and Gifts. C.A.V.A.'s calendar is from September through May. Board meetings are held on the first Monday of each month, 7pm till 9pm. Member meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of the month from 7pm till 9pm. The meeting location is Aurora Images Art Gallery & Gifts, 803 E. Main Street, Suite D, Allen TX  75002, 972-390-1010. C.A.V.A. currently is a guest on the Aurora Images website: CAVA web page. 

The Purposes of this organization are:

1. To encourage the recognition of the City of Allen as a community of artistic endeavor in the media of the visual arts.

2. To encourage artistic development within the community.

3. To further art education among artists and the general public in the visual arts through programs, lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops, classes and criitiques.

4. to promote the artistic development of young artists within the community through classes , awards, scholarships.

5. To promote art appreciation and advance artistic values within the community through varied art exhibits in public places.

6. To encourage and participate in creative activities within the community which are related to art.

7. To operate exclusively for educational purposes by engaging directly in support of such purposes all within the meaning of section 501©(3) of the Internal Revenue code.
